WARNING!!! SPOILER ALERT!!! IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW THE FUTURE OF MY FANFIC, DON'T READ!!!

A.I. stands for Artificial Intelligence. In Japanese, the word used jinkouchinou, (人工知能) meaning Artificial Intelligence. These cards are seen exclusively in Alex Gailson's Fan Fiction "Yu-Gi-Oh! Call of Destiny". In the story, these cards were created by Chumley Huffington as a prize for winning the International Duel Competition held on Central Duel Acadamy. Although Skyler Gailson was the one who actually won the Tournament, he let his friend, Kira Monos, collect the price. The cards were drawn and designed to Kira's exact specifications, basing them on the Sci-Fi programs that Kira grew up on.

There are 2 types of A.I. monsters: A.I. Computer System and A.I. Sentinel. Each of the monsters has a distinct Unit that corresponds with their Level. They are meant to signify that the Machines are the Model of the Unit.

Playing Style[]

Much like real Robots that learn from their experiences, when an A.I. monster is destroyed, they 'learn' from what just happened and 'evolve'. By 'evolve', when most A.I. monsters are destroyed as a result of battle, they Special Summon other A.I. monsters with a Level or Unit higher than the monster destroyed. Also, most of their effects involve the cards in your hand and drawing cards from the deck. This means that good support cards for them involve drawing cards from the Deck. Cards like Reckless Greed, Pot of Greed, etc. This is also seen in the Field Spell for the series called B.O.S.S. Alpha which increases the ATK of A.I. monsters based on how many cards you have in your hand.

Weaknesses[]

One of the big drawbacks to A.I. monsters is that most of their effects are circumstantial, meaning that you have to be smart about how and when you activate their effects. For example, when A.I. Computer System monsters are in the Graveyard after a certain amount of time, they can let you Special Summon A.I. with a Level one higher than the monster in the Graveyard. Not only do you have to have an A.I. monster in your hand when the effect is activated, it needs to be a specific Level.
