An Advent Summon ((しゅつ)(げん) (しょう)(かん), Shutsugen Shoukan) is the method of Summoning an Advent Monster. To Advent Summon a Advent Monster, you must control a face-up Aeon Monster,  which are the Advent version of Tuner Monsters, as well as have the corresponding Field Spell Card face-up on your field. The monsters used in an Advent Summon are sent to the Graveyard.

The Level of the Advent monster is equal to the Level of the non-Aeon Monster(s) plus the Level of the Aeon Monster. Most Advent Monsters don't require specific Advent Materials, but some require either specific Field Spells or ones from their Archetype.

In Yu-Gi-Oh! Axel, the players use the term Align for initiating an Advent Summon (ex. I Align my "name of Aeon Monster" with my *names of Material Monsters* to Advent Summon *name of Advent Monster*), similar to Tune for Synchro Monsters and Overlay for Xyz Monsters. When this happens, the Advent Material monsters turn into a number of stars equal to their Levels that orbit around the Aeon Monster, and then enter it, after which it bursts into a pillar of light, the color depending on the Attribute of the Advent Monster (purple for Dark, red for FIRE, etc.). The field then glows in a similar color, which is absorbed by the pillar, which then takes the form of the Advent Monster.
