Aiger Akabane is a Duelist that grew up in nature. He is a quick study and can master the basics of playing Duel Monsters, including Xyz Summoning.
Story
When Aiger was 14, he found out about a Duel Monsters duel. The duelists summon monsters and Aiger thought it was really cool and he really wants to be a part of it, so he started to play Duel Monsters.
Etymology
- Aiger's Japanese name, "Aiga", means "Family" which represents how Aiger is close to his family. His last name in Japan, "Akaba", means "red blade", while his last name in the English Dub, "Akabane", means "red feather" in Japanese.
Appearance
Aiger has lighter skin, turquoise eyes, wears red clothing and his hair and eyebrows are maroon. He has a red letter "A" tattooed on his left cheek, and several bandage strips on his face: a horizontal one on his right cheek, two horizontal ones placed vertically on the right temple, and a horizontal one over an "X" shaped bandage on the left temple.
His attire consists of an orange-yellow shirt with a turquoise zipper, a burgundy Letterman's jacket with long tomato sleeves, border and pocket lining, and burgundy sneakers with a tomato border, white laces, white toe caps, and a white circle with an upside-down dark-blue "A" on each inner heel. His jacket has a light-cyan circle with an upside-down dark-blue "A" on the back and three yellow buttons on the front: one on the right side with a dark-blue Beyblade symbol, and two on the left, the upper one an upside-down dark-blue "A", and the bottom a dark-blue star. He wears a pair of maroon gloves below his elbows and wears a cape (white at the front, maroon at the back), a pair of blue jeans with stitched-in patches, and red sneakers with a yellow border, white laces, and white toe caps.
He wears a Duel Disk at his wrist, which is red-color themed and can show the global time, and the disk's status.
When Aiger plays his ace card, his hair turns crimson and breaks free from the blue rubber band holding it upright and releasing super-strong energy, which Jack Atlas called it a power strong reminiscent of Crimson Dragon Quetzacoatl. His eyes' colors also turn to a half-turquoise and a half-crimson.
Biography
Growth and Childhood
Aiger is a teenager that born and grew in the quiet and peaceful forests of nature. He had a Beyblade career and a peaceful childhood, which came with setbacks. But one day, his parents have different means, lifestyles, and their ways of living, so they divorced, and his sister Naru, after hearing that Aiger wants to play Duel Monsters, thought that he can do the best, so they parted ways.
Dueling Journey
After he turned 15, he started playing Duel Monsters. His decks consist of Fires and Warriors which all contained the Equip Spell Power of the Guardians. After winning his first duel and defeating numerous opponents and all the students of the Heartland Academy and YouShow Duel School, he thought that all of his opponents were too easy for him to beat, so he found stronger opponents from all over the world until he found Klip Thormond. He got overtaken by the latter's manipulative skills, and he was defeated by Klip Thormond. Aiger then, after taking minor mental damage, gritted his teeth and swore Klip Thormond as his rival and intended to defeat him one day and surpass all duelists in the world to become the strongest Duelist in the world.
When he dueled Yuma Tsukumo, he found his spirit and Yuma's resonating with each other and claimed Yuma his worthy rival. He was then defeated by Yuma Tsukumo with the latter's Utopia Double and Double or Nothing combo.
Shining Draw
After his duel with Yuma Tsukumo, during his duel with Ash Satoshi Ketchum, he managed to use his Shining Draw and create new cards that fit the situation for Aiger himself to turn the tables. During his turn that he has 100 LP and has no cards on his field, he performed the Shining Draw and created "Superheavy Samurai Unity Sword". He then used a card effect to send it to the GY and equip it to his ace card, Heroic Champion - Excalibur to win the duel.
