Arc Knights are a series of Light-Warrior monsters (Excluding the Multi-Type Dragon Synchro monster) which all share the same trait as being a Defense Killer (Except for Mystios, however sharing the same destruction effect), however sharing the common drawback of low attack points.
They are more of a field cleaner type, rather than swarming seeing as the level 4 or lower Arc Knight monsters tend to have card destroying effect. This serves as a field clearer to ensure the higher level monsters are special summoned successfully.
Knight's Resolve is also a great help, because it makes you discard up to 2 cards to special summon Level 4 Arc Knight Monster(s) equal to the number of cards discarded and destroys them at the end phase. This allows them to utilize their card-destroying effect and helps you get them into the graveyard easily.
Eternal Castle, the Arc Knight specific field spell (unlike Field of the Brave - Granoreia which is a Field spell for both Archetype).By destroying 1 Arc Knight monster on your side of the field, you can special summon a removed from play Arc Knight monster with an equal level or lower than the destroyed monster. This allows Arc Knight monsters to utilize their post-destruction effect, while bringing back another Arc Knight to take it's place. In addition, Arc Knight monsters special summoned by this effect cannot be targeted by a card effect.
The Story[]
Arc Knights are known as the "Holy Knights" that protects the common people from their Nemesis, The Dark Knights. They are lead by their Grand Commander, Raghael, in their constant clash with the Dark Knights. Arc Knights serve but one lord only, Sirius. While the Dark Knights believe in Asmodeus as their deity, the Arc Knights trust their fate to Seraphius, a high ranking Angel in the hierarchy.
The Arc Knights also have the help of the Trio Dragon, which are Voltius, Blizzgard, and Infernscar. These Dragon Trio have known to show a remarkable prowess in battle, as they are capable of destroying one of the 3 Black Fortress of the Dark Knights in a matter of minutes.
The battlefield of Granoreia awaits these Holy Knights. Countless battles have been fought there, and countless victims have fallen there. While the battles fired up the Dark Knights, the countless victims give strength to the Arc Knights. Both sides, have yet to win.
