Aster Taishita

Aster Taishita is a talented male Professional Duelist and the deuteragonist in ♠Deceitful King♠'s new Fan-Fiction, Yu-Gi-Oh!: Demanding Identity. He is one of the sixteen invited Professional Duelist to participate in the Capital Cup Tournament, as well as the current King of Games. He is referred to as the "Depressed King" regularly by his fans mainly to the fact his main monster cards are the Dismal series. In Japanese, Aster's surname has been written as 重要 directly translated into important he loses his King of Games title after loosing to Cipher in a street duel sometime during the series. He is also the new head of KiabaCorp

Aster is defined as tall, well built young man. He has shaggy blue hair that shags out in the back. He has surprisingly pale skin although he spends a lot of his time dueling in the sun and wandering the streets of Neo Domino City. His usual outfit consists of a black sleeveless KaibaCorp-designed jacket, with white sleeves from his shirt coming out from under. He wears normal worn out black jeans and sneakers. He has extra belts in pairs strapped around his upper arms and shins. When his Disk Sprite, Apollyon, is in Disk mode it resembles a black version of the standard Duel Academy Duel Disk, which he wears on his right arm because he is left handed.

Aster has been around money for his entire life. He comes off as a spoiled brat to some of his family members but when around his peers he is a level headed person. He doesn't care about much besides his title, his best friend and defeating Cipher in a duel. He has a personal problem with people constantly disgracing the game of duel monsters and easily defeats people that disrespect him or his friends. While he is easily one of the most popular and admired Duelists in the world, he tends to avoid most people finding the either ignorant or just plain stupid. While not exactly vain, Aster does possess a strong sense of independence and pride in his own abilities that he is often misunderstood as arrogant.

Aster plays a "Power Deck" (Burn/Beatdown) that focuses on inflicting damage to his opponent any way it can, while summoning his ace "Siphon Burn Dragon" as fast as possible. His Deck is the opposite of Cipher's. Cipher prefers a defensive and adapting style, whereas Aster's is mainly offensive and punishes his opponents for defensive play, obviously showcasing their rival.
