Battle

Battle (Japanese: 戦(せん)闘(とう) Sentō) is an interaction which monsters can undergo during the Battle Phase. Many card effects are triggered when monsters battle.

A monster battles when it is attacked by an opponent's monster, attacks an opponent's monster, or attacks the opponent directly. A monster is no longer battling if the attack is negated or cancelled due to a replay.
