- This card's name and design is based on the legend surrounding the founding of Rome. Romulus and Remus were abandoned by their father as children and raised by wolves. Eventually, they were restored to their regal status and decided to build a new city. Each brother wanted to build it on a different hill and in the ensuing disputes, Remus was killed; his ghost eventually being appeased through a festival.
- This is the implied Dark Counterpart to the Monarchs, despite being Level 7 (compared to Level 6) and different ATK and DEF stats. However, it may be because while the original Monarchs are Level 6, the Fusion Monarchs are Level 8 (so putting this card between them) and with its ATK-gaining effect, can reach ATK scores slotting it between the pair.
- This is the only Monarch whose ATK is not a multiple of 100.
- This is the only Monarch that cannot be Normal Summoned.
