Driver Monsters (ドライバモンスター), Doraiba Monsutā are monsters with "Driver" listed on the Type/Ability used in Yu-Gi-Oh! Xross. They can be set as a Drive Zone for the summon of an Overdrive Monster. Their border is half Crimson similar to that of a pendulum monster.

A Driver monster may be played as a regular main deck monster, however, it can be placed upside-down in a Main Monster Zone to be used as a "Drive Zone". A Drive Zone is treated as a Linked Zone and (usually) has a "Drive Effect" that is active while the Drive Zone and a "Drive": a value shown towards the sides of the card (similar to Pendulum Scales). If an Overdrive Monster in the Extra Deck has a Limit between the Drive of a Drive Zone and the level of a monster in said Drive Zone, both of those cards are sent to the GY as Overdrive Material Monsters and the Overdrive Monster is Overdrive Summoned.
