Game Cards are a special type of card used only in Yu-Gi-Oh! GSTART. They are a type of card alongside Spell and Trap Cards. The color of their card frame is brown. Only usable with D-Controller Duel Disks, when played in a Duel, the Augmented Reality changes to become the D-Game on the card. Players must use their D-Controllers to win the games played in order to receive bonuses or inflict penalties stated on the cards.

Game Cards are stored in a Game Deck. After all players in a Duel has taken a turn, a Game Card Intermission occurs, where the players load up to 5 Game Cards from their Game Decks, and one of them is selected for play via roulette. Once a Game Card has been played, it will be given a mark that indicates that it cannot be played again unless all players in the Duel have played every Game Card in their Game Decks at least once.

Silver Game Card[]

The plotline of GSTART revolves around a special Game Card with a silver border. Despite having no visible name and usually being blank, it is known as "World Map". When World Map is activated, the AR field changes to a special locale for each "World".  Each World holds multiple different Games that are hinted at by a riddle in place of the card text. Once a challenge is completed, the path to the next Game is revealed, but said Game can't be accessed immediately. World Map's Games are "unlocked" by solving a riddle located in place of World Map's lore, which must be done through a Duel. When the riddle is solved, during the next Game Card Intermission, World Map will replace one of the Game Cards, and the roulette will be forcibly stopped on it, allowing the next Game to be played.
