The Night Sisters (黒夜の鬼女, or "Black Night Witch" in Japanese) are a series of DARK monsters that are mainly created as anti-HERO cards. They are generally grouped into five categories, each one based off of one of their users in their fanfiction. Nightshade's are Plant-Type and inflict Burn damage. Nighthawk's are Winged Beast-Type and they focus on getting out more Night Sisters. Nightcrawler's are Reptile-Type and they hurt their opponent's monsters, either by manipulating their stats or negating their effects. Nightingale's are Spellcaster-Type and they focus on manipulating monsters, either with Battle Positions or by changing their controller. Finally, Nightmare's are of the Beast-Warrior-Type, and they support other Night Sisters by giving them effects or powering them up, as well as having a slight Beatdown theme. There are also several Psychic-Type support cards, which Itsu introduces, as well as two Dragon-Type Synchro Monsters, Nightshade Dragon and Blue-Eyes Night Dragon.
General Strategy
The various HEROs are the embodiment of superheroes and antiheroes, but the Night Sisters differ. They are the temptresses, the seductresses, mistresses, and, overall, the femme fatales of yore. They don't fight using superpowers, per se, but instead utilize deception and trickery to lock down and immobilize their enemies before going in for the kill. In this way, they are the opposite of Heroes.
