Activating a Ritual Trap Card can tend to be somewhat demanding, and for that reason Ritual Trap Cards are arguably the least used Type of Spell Trap, even less used than the Ritual Spell Cards. However, unlike their counterparts, the Ritual Trap Card is much more flexible, allowing for a Ritual Summon to take place during the same kind of period as a Normal Trap Card, as Ritual Trap Cards are , unlike the more easily negatable Ritual Spell Cards, which are like Normal Spell Cards. The only known examples of Ritual Trap Cards are non-canon cards in the "Forge" archetype.
