The Verzease, or Viralswarm in the TCG, are a sub-archetype of the "lswarm" archetype that appears in the Duel Terminal World of Rocket Knight 777. Like the other lswarm monsters, they focus on being destroyed, or disrupting the strategies of, Special Summoned monsters, but some also have other effects that make them devastating on their own. The storyline for them so far is that they were created when the Alkems discovered dormant cells of the lswarm monsters in their excavation of the dinosaur bones used by the Paleolithes. Through experimenting they, turned the cells into a deadly pathogen to use against the Cherfim, not knowing the chaos and monstrosities they were soon going to create and awaken.
