A Wavelength in an indicator used only with Spectrum Monsters, like Ranks with Xyz Monsters, Classes with Excel Monsters, and Qualities with Composition Monsters. Like other indicators, Wavelengths are rough indicators of the monster's strength.

Wavelength Stars are black and are within white circles, like this: Wavelength Much like Qualities, Wavelength Stars start in the center of the card and expand outwards as the Wavelength gets higher.

The Wavelength of a Spectrum Monster determines how many Life Points must be paid in order to Spectrum Summon that monster: 300-700 Life Points per Wavelength, the payments being multiples of 100. This makes payments range between 300-700 for a Wavelength 1 and 3600-8400, which can result in an automatic defeat, for a Wavelength 12.
