Yu-Gi-Oh! W is a fan-fiction based on Yu-Gi-Oh! manga or anime series, that is still under construction. This fan-fiction uses the game mechanics from the Yu-Gi-Oh official rules. In this series, there are various of new mechanics are introduce, one of them is Synthetic Summon, which is quite popular amongst the characters in this series.

Despite being the fan-fiction of Yu-Gi-Oh!, which normally focuses on dueling theme, this series involved with Dark Fantasy theme. This series will reveal more about the evil sides of humans and politics, which ultimately produced a darker story that involved in assassination, large scale of massacre and warfare. Besides, there will be a lot of violence and deaths, which make the series rated as T.
Setting[]
The world of Yu-Gi-Oh! W is based on the real world map, along with some additional fictional countries and locations and the time setting is set on 21th to 22th Century. Set in a fictional universe in which dueling is one of the most popular sport or hobby amongst the human beings, the story follows the brothers Bakura Yuri and Bakura Aikawa, who initially duel for fun and happiness, but as the story progress, both of them choose a very different path for their own justice. Their destiny selected them as the Chosen One, Yuri became the Dark Messiah, who is fighting for his country through revenge and attempts to conquer the whole world under "Dystopia" status while Aikawa became the Light Messiah, who is trying to restore justice through ethical actions and also trying to unite the whole world as "Utopia". The brothers are destined to meet each other in the battlefield, as the ancient prophets had foretold since ages ago.
